Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the psychodrama method, develop skills in applying it in group work, and enable them to use psychodrama techniques ethically in social work practice. Students will grasp the importance of creative drama and action-based approaches in understanding individuals' emotional, thought, and behavioral patterns.

Course Content

Historical development of psychodrama, theoretical foundations, group processes, roles, staging techniques, social atom, role reversal, mirror, doubling, warm-up exercises, group leadership, ethical issues and areas of use in social work.
