Course Objective
1. Understand the risk management cycle and key principles of enterprise risk management.
2. Learn to identify, classify, and analyze different types of risks and their impacts.
3. Apply essential risk analysis tools and techniques for effective decision-making.
4. Develop business continuity plans and strategies to enhance organizational resilience.
Course Content
This course introduces the principles and processes of risk management in industrial engineering. It focuses on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating various types of risks, including enterprise and operational risks. Students will learn key risk analysis tools, decision-making techniques, and business continuity strategies while developing practical skills through projects and case studies.

- Recognizes the stages of the risk management cycle and understands the importance of each stage.
- Applies principles and processes of enterprise risk management to manage organizational risks.
- Identifies, classifies, and analyzes different types of risks, such as financial, operational, strategic, and natural disaster risks.
- Assesses concepts of risk appetite, capacity, and tolerance within organizations and incorporates them into decision-making processes.
- Recognizes and applies essential risk analysis tools and techniques, such as FMEA and SWOT Analysis.
- Develops business continuity and emergency response plans; creates strategies to enhance organizational resilience against risks.
- Works collaboratively in teams to complete class assignments and projects of risk cases.
