Course Objective

This course teaches lean manufacturing terminology, principles, and techniques. It teaches how lean manufacturing tools can be applied in production and service business models.

Course Content

The Historical Development of Lean Production, Lean Production Philosophy, Lean Production Principles, Value Stream Mapping and Process Analysis; Cellular Production; SMED, TPM, OEE, 5S, JIT, Push/Pull Systems; KANBAN; Lean Management
