Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to introduce the concept and basic subjects of industrial engineering to the students. It is an introduction to the basic courses of industrial engineering education and is aimed to increase awareness of the knowledge they will gain during the education process.

Course Content

This course aims to introduce the students to the Industrial Engineering Department, the historical development of Industrial Engineering, its aims and objectives, the relationship with other engineering disciplines, the basic concepts and tools used in industrial engineering.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Have knowledge about industrial engineering, its history, basic working areas, the skills and competences it should have, and the sectors in which it can work.
  2. Have knowledge about professional ethics and responsibilities.
  3. To learn the basic techniques of industrial engineering
  4. Learns the basic concepts of Industrial Engineering.
  5. Understands different industrial engineering work areas in the sector through experiences.
