Explanations

Ottoman Turkish course is learned with theory, but practice is essential. Practice the relevant section from Hayati Develi's  Osmanlı Türkçesi Kılavuzu, which is shown in the list of resources after each lesson, and read the texts.

There are texts at the back of the book. Read these texts from the first week.

Lugate yiğitlik olmaz.

It is a valid expression for all languages, including Ottoman Turkish. Dictionary is an indispensable basis in text studies. For every word we do not know, we should look up the dictionary without being lazy. For words we know we should look up twice. Our minds deceive us.
