Course Objective
Assessment of children with hearing and visually disabilities, organization of classroom environments for them, individual and group education, skill at application level in literacy education
Course Content
Individuals with hearing and vision disabilities; The nature of hearing and vision; Classification: educational, psychological, medical; Prevalence and frequency of occurrence; Causes: prenatal, moment of birth, postnatal; Screening / proofing: medical, developmental and educational screening / proofreading; Team and cooperation; Education-training environments; Scientific based practices; Services, support and legal rights offered to families.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Visually regulates the educational environment of hearing impaired individuals
- Classify educational, psychological and medical aspects of hearing and hearing impaired individuals
- Explains the legal rights of individuals with visual and hearing impairment.
- Understands the nature of seeing and hearing.
- Express the nature of vision and hearing
