Explanations

Attendance is the top priority; each student is responsible for monitoring their own attendance. Every student has a total absence allowance of 4 weeks. Requests exceeding this limit will not be considered.

In addition to learning from lecture presentations and the core textbook, students are required to deliver an individual presentation using supplementary resources.

Presentations must be based on a social skill selected from the source titled "Real Life Skills for Children" and should be structured under the following subheadings:

  1. Definition and the specific skill area it belongs to.

  2. Importance in terms of primary school-age development.

  3. Consequences of its deficiency/absence.

  4. Learning outcomes to be gained if the skill is developed.

  5. Implementation of a sample classroom activity aimed at acquiring this skill.

Presentations will be evaluated based on the level of preparation (1: Needs Improvement, 2: Good, 3: Very Good) regarding the criteria mentioned above.
