Course Objective
To understand the basic structure and use of Russian and to improve the reading, listening, speaking and writing skills which are necessary for the elementary level.
Course Content
The alphabet and pronunciation: All Russian letters and sounds. Reading rules. Grammar: Grammatical genders, plural categories. Conjugation in the present tense. Infinitives. Accusative form of the pronouns. Locative form. Past without verbs. Vocabulary. İntroduction, profession and objects in a room. Family. Foreign languages, hobbies, reading, writing, speaking. Forming and understanding sentences at beginning level.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Greeting people, starting and maintaining short and polite dialogues, and saying goodbye.
- Producing the sounds in Russian.
- Making simple speeches about the objects in a room.
- Asking for direction in the street
- Writing short paragraphs about the family
