Course Objective
The aim of this course is to enable prospective Arabic teachers to understand the types, varieties, and design principles of teaching materials and to develop skills in selecting, adapting, and designing materials appropriate for middle and high school levels. Students are expected to present their materials in class and evaluate them with their peers.
Course Content
Types and design principles of Arabic teaching materials; design, implementation, and evaluation of printed, visual, game-based, digital, and authentic materials for vocabulary, grammar, and language skills.Course Learning Outcomes
- The student will be able to explain the types, functions, and basic design principles of Arabic teaching materials.
- The student will be able to select and adapt teaching materials appropriate for middle and high school levels.
- The student will be able to design the printed, visual, game-based, and digital materials for vocabulary, grammar, and language skills.
- The student will be able to present the designed materials in class and evaluate them according to specified criteria.
