Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach students the basic concepts of management, the basic skills and roles of the manager, the historical development of management thought, basic management approaches, basic functions of management, organizational structures and planning and decision-making processes related to business management.

 

Course Content

Within the scope of the course, the definition and scope of management, basic skills and roles of managers, classical management theory, neo-classical management theory, systems approach, contingency approach, total quality management and other post-modern management approaches will be examined in detail. In addition, planning, mission, vision and decision making, which are very important for management, will be emphasized and traditional and modern organizational structures will be examined.
