Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach the current economic situation of Turkey in detail. This course examines the economic transformations and problems of Turkey in the context of dynamics of world economy, and focus on current problems in Turkish economy and plausible solution prospects.

Course Content

In this course, the structure of Turkish economy will be discussed. The current economic problems will be examined in detail. These processes and problems will be analysed in terms of national income, income distribution, growth, employment and unemployment, inflation, industrialization, privatization, sectoral analysis, foreign economic relations, and economic crises.

  1. The student understands Turkey's place in the world economy.
  2. Students can compare the economic situations of Türkiye and other countries.
  3. Students can compare Turkey's current economic problems with examples from daily life, discuss and question them.
  4. Students will have knowledge on the current situation of Turkish economy.
