(1) Students placed in the University's undergraduate degree programmes that include a compulsory foreign language preparatory class are first enrolled in the foreign language preparatory class.
(2) A one-year foreign language preparatory programme is offered, subject to quota, to those students enrolled in the University's undergraduate degree programmes without a compulsory foreign language preparatory class who wish to take it. The duration of the foreign language preparatory programme is not included in the normal period of study and is subject to a fee.
