Industrial Engineering

Delivering 30% of its instruction in English, the Department of Industrial Engineering at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University aims to train engineers who can analyse, using scientific methods, systems in which people, machinery, materials, information and energy work together, and who can make such systems more efficient, effective and sustainable. Designed with a student-centred and continuously updated approach, the programme aims to equip students with strong competence in system design, development and implementation. Supported by theoretical and applied courses, the curriculum offers a well-rounded formation that combines fundamental engineering knowledge with management science, computer technologies, social sciences and contemporary communication skills. The mission of the programme is to train qualified human resources across a broad range of fields, from manufacturing to services, producing graduates who use limited resources effectively and continuously improve processes.

Industrial engineering is not limited to industrial production alone; it is a branch of engineering active across the whole range of products, services and information systems. In this respect, graduates can work in numerous sectors such as manufacturing, services, healthcare, finance, logistics, the defence industry and consultancy. Working to make processes more profitable, efficient, flexible and of higher quality, industrial engineers take on effective roles in areas such as product development, planning, production, quality control and supply chain management.
