The purpose of this project is to determine the state of the software and video game industry in the Istanbul Region, Türkiye's window onto the world. Using the data obtained from the Istanbul Region, the project sought to offer a clearer perspective to those interested in the industry and to identify the problems specific to Istanbul in this field as well as expectations for the future. Within this scope, data were collected from a selected sample group in the Istanbul region through surveys and open-ended questions, and these data were then analysed. Subsequently, the data obtained were evaluated together with the workshops held, and findings were established regarding the current situation of the software industry in general and the video game industry in particular, as well as the future of the sector.
