Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, which began teaching in the historic building of the Halkalı School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine opened in 1892, and which keeps alive the memory of the classrooms where our National Anthem poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy studied and later taught, invites you to its unique 630-decare campus with 10,000 trees. Founded in 2010 by the İlim Yayma Foundation, which has a history of half a century, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University continues its educational life with approximately 9,000 students, undergraduate education in 41 programmes at 8 faculties, and 77 master's and 22 doctoral programmes. Home to nearly 1,500 international students from 79 countries, İZÜ hosts the faculties of Education, Law, Islamic Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Management Sciences, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Health Sciences and Sport Sciences on its campus in Halkalı, Küçükçekmece.

Language of instruction
The language of instruction at İZÜ is predominantly Turkish. Some departments offer instruction in English and Arabic.
Foreign language opportunities
English preparatory education is available for English-medium departments, and Arabic preparatory education for Arabic-medium departments. In addition, İZÜ students have the opportunity to learn world languages such as Spanish and Russian free of charge through optional elective courses or language courses.
Optional Preparatory Programme
If our students placed in Turkish-medium departments wish to take advantage of the optional preparatory programme, the scholarship they are entitled to is applied to the preparatory fee.
