The “4th Traditional IZU YKS Winter Camp” was organized on the campus of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University with the participation of more than 1,300 students from eight institutions. Organized by the Directorate of Corporate Communications and Promotion, the camp was attended by students from Çınar College, Yenidoğu Schools, Atakent Çağdaş Fen Bilimleri Course Center, Atakent Elit Akademi Course Center, Halkalı Fen Bilimleri Course Center, Halkalı MED Course Center, Halkalı ITU ETA Course Center, and Sefaköy Çözüm Course Center. The program continued for five days in the university’s campus, which is intertwined with history and nature. Throughout the camp, students maintained their academic preparation for the YKS through mock exams, topic revisions, question-solving sessions, and supervised study periods. Conducted within a planned and disciplined study framework, the camp enabled students not only to improve their exam practice but also to gain experience in time management and exam strategies. In addition to the academic program, students also had the opportunity to become closely acquainted with university life by making use of IZU’s social areas and sports facilities.
“Our Students’ Exam Motivation Increased Significantly”
Commenting on the camp, Çınar College Deputy High School Principal İyinur Ergün stated: “The reason we wanted to hold such an important educational camp at IZU was the presence of large lecture halls, the very high level of logistical support, and the provision of an environment where our students could benefit from various activities. Throughout the camp, we conducted classes, study sessions, and question-solving activities during the day. We experienced a highly productive camp process together with our students.” Taner Korhan, Founder of Halkalı Fen Bilimleri Merkezi Tercihimiz, emphasized the impact of the camp on students, stating: “Being together with different students in a different setting refreshed our students’ excitement and desire to learn. Being in a university environment and closely experiencing the IZU campus significantly increased our students’ motivation. We would like to thank the entire IZU family, especially our Rector, for providing us with this opportunity.”
