STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach that aims to enable students to develop solutions to everyday problems using their science, mathematics, engineering and technology skills. A lesson plan built around STEM education also helps students develop skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, creativity and inquiry over time. Societies that wish to keep pace with technological and innovative developments worldwide are integrating STEM practices into their education models in order to make it easier for individuals to take an active part in production and the workforce. It is important that educators who will prepare lesson plans structured around STEM education develop themselves in this field and follow international work in the area.
