IZU Halkalı Campus
The program will begin in October 2026. The program schedule will be announced shortly.
This is a hands-on workshop that teaches the distinctive craft of the short story — the power of brevity, single effect, the opening, point of view, subtext and revision. Over fourteen weeks, participants read masterfully written stories through a writer's eyes while building their own stories step by step, revising them in depth and completing a final portfolio.
Each week consists of three stages: a short theoretical introduction, a workshop exercise (writing or analysis) and peer critique. The broad fourteen-week schedule gives every concept room to breathe, with dedicated production and critique weeks at regular intervals as well as in-depth revision cycles. The emphasis is not on memorisation but on production, repetition and thinking together.
