To equip participants with the skills to apply therapeutic cards with different age groups in their counselling practice and to use these materials effectively.
Therapeutic Cards are among the powerful tools frequently used in both individual counselling and family counselling.
The set consists of two separate card groups: 77 portraits and 44 abstract human figures. These two groups are used in different ways.
The cards, which can be used in counselling with children, adolescents and adults, activate our inner world and memories through associations. In counselling, these associations greatly facilitate engaging with the client, eliciting their story and overcoming resistance. They can also be used effectively to help clients clarify their counselling goals, see their own process and access their own coping resources. They enable emotions to be brought into the counselling room, recognised and expressed.
They can also be used effectively in trauma work. This training addresses, both theoretically and through practice, the skills required to use both card groups with different age groups and for different purposes.
I was born in Mardin in 1993. I completed my primary and secondary education in Istanbul. In 2016 I graduated from the Guidance and Psychological Counselling programme at Hacettepe University as a "High Honours Student". Between 2017 and 2019 I completed the Master's Programme with Thesis in Guidance and Psychological Counselling at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, earning my master's degree with the research study "An Examination of the Relationship Between High School Students' Social Achievement Goals and Levels of Peer Bullying". I work in child and adolescent counselling, career counselling, university preference consultancy and as a school psychological counsellor. I have also met with university students as a visiting lecturer teaching Human Behaviour, Community Service Practices and Career Planning. I have taken part in UNICEF and Doka projects and delivered training within them.
I continually pursue further training in order to better understand children, adolescents and families and to support parents. My aim is to open up the best possible paths in the field of mental health for our children and young people, for mothers and fathers and for our society, to offer alternatives and to provide guidance.
I currently work in child and adolescent counselling while continuing my professional career as a specialist psychological counsellor.
Participants who complete the training receive a certificate issued by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. The certificate will be viewable via e-Government.
An 80% attendance requirement must be met during the training.
