Student Traineeship Mobility with Erasmus+ Programme Countries
Under Key Action 1, students may spend between 2 and 12 months at a company abroad in order to gain work experience related to their field of study. The field in which the host company operates must be directly related to the student's department. Accordingly, Erasmus+ traineeship mobility may not be used for research or analytical work.
How to Apply
Students wishing to apply must complete the online application form available at https://applyerasmus.izu.edu.tr/.
Application Documents
- The online application form must be completed in full.
- A photograph must be attached to the application form.
- The organisation at which the student will complete the traineeship must be determined at the time of application. Details of the traineeship placement or the letter of acceptance must be uploaded to the system.
- Documents relating to relatives of martyrs and veterans, disability status, and protection, care or accommodation decisions under Social Services Law No. 2828 must be uploaded to the online application system, if available. Selection Criteria
The evaluation criteria and weighted scores used in assessing mobility applications are as follows:
| Criterion | Weighted Score |

| Language level | 50% (out of a total of 100 points) |
| Children of martyrs and veterans | +15 points* |
| Students with disabilities (provided the disability is documented) | +10 points |
| Previous participation (with or without a grant, per participation) | -10 points** |
| Taking part in mobility in the country of one's own citizenship | -10 points |
*Priority is given to combat veterans and their spouses and children, as well as the spouses and children of war martyrs; the spouses and children of "public officials who, while performing their duties at home or abroad, or even after their status has ended, have been wounded, disabled, died or been killed as a result of acts of terrorism because of the performance of those duties" pursuant to Article 21 of the Anti-Terror Law No. 3713 dated 12/4/1991; and, pursuant to Article 7 of Decree Law No. 667 dated 23 July 2016, the spouses and children of those who lost their lives as a result of the coup attempt and terrorist act carried out on 15 July 2016 and the acts that followed it, as well as civilians who were disabled and their spouses and children, when they apply for Erasmus+ student mobility.
**The "-10 points" deduction for previous participation is not applied to mobility carried out in a previous study cycle or to mobility other than higher education student/traineeship mobility. It is applied when a student who has already carried out mobility applies again within the same study cycle.
Erasmus+ Mobility with Grant Option
Under the Erasmus+ Programme, selected students may receive an Erasmus+ grant to cover their living expenses during the mobility period. The distribution of grants depends on the number of applications, the destination country and the budget allocated by the Turkish National Agency. The Erasmus+ grant is a contribution and may not cover 100% of the expenses incurred before and during the mobility (such as visa, accommodation, flight tickets and living expenses). In such cases, the student must cover the remaining amount themselves.
