Course Objective
With the Aesthetics and Art lesson, students will be given:
Starting from the etymology of the branches of Art and Aesthetics, the emergence of these concepts, their meanings, and their versatile coverage will be explained within the framework of the views of western scientists on these issues and the counter arguments of Eastern Muslim scholars.
In addition, students will be directed to comparative information and resources about the history and resources of Philosophy and Knowledge, and the subjects of art, artistry and craftsmanship
Course Content
The nature of beauty (aesthetic object), art and the philosophy of art; the relation between art and culture. Fine arts as a form of expression, doctrines of art, objectivity and subjectiviti in aesthetic experience and art, artististic creation, mimesis and uniqueness in art.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students learn what is the aesthetics, art and philosophy of art and the relation between them. Also they obtain basic knowledge about the artistic language as a form and meaning in beatiful arts. Also they gain some skills to interpret art works and their languages.
- Students learn how to interpret art works as a language of civilization
- Students learn the importance of art in social life
- Students learn the meaning of an artistic language
