Course Objective
This course is designed and structured as an introduction to business and management science in contemporary world. It provides fundamental skills and knowledge on understanding main functions, concepts and nature of today’s business environment and management thought. Main aim of the course is to serve as a framework for creating a holistic big picture perception on business and provide the necessary introduction, interest, motivation and curiosity to further related courses in the program as it has a comprehensive structure which includes brief information on all functions of management (e.g. business strategy, human resource management, production, marketing, finance, MIS).
Course Content
The content of the course include:
• the enterprise system and other types of economic systems.
• business ethics apply to customers and other stakeholders in the business environment.
• the basic forms of business ownership.
• international business and the complexities of operating in a global environment.
• the basic functions of management and the skills required of managers working with different
concepts of motivation.
• how a company utilizes human resource management to recruit, train, and retain
employees.
• the marketing concept and the various elements of the marketing mix.

-Each student must complete a report following the specified schedule. If he/she would not submit the report on time, there is no another opportunity to submit again.
• Mark of 0 will be given if not submitting the report.

Rules
- Students should check course email frequently, which is a platform for communication between me and students.
- Students should attend class regularly. Their absence should not exceeds more than half. -
- Being active in class discussions and asking questions are highly encouraged.
