Course Objective

To develop knowledge and skill in financial management, knowledge in relations to investment, financing, dividend policy and risk.

Course Content

The course covers subjects such as financial statement analysis, time value of money, interest rates, securities valuation such as bonds and stocks, risk and return, cost of capital and capital budgeting. 

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Describe the various types of financial instruments, roles and functions of financial markets and relevant regulators in the country
  2. To understand Time Value of Money and its various applications in Finance
  3. To able to understand and interpret Financial statement analysis
  4. Identify the principles and basic techniques bonds and bonds valuation
  5. Identify the principles and basic techniques stocks and stocks valuation
  6. Identify the principles and basic techniques cost of capital
  7. Identify the principles and basic techniques capital budgeting
