Course Objective

The aim of the course is to give students; To provide students with the ability to apply basic pilates techniques.

Course Content

The content of the course covers the following topics: Hall rules, standards of the pilates hall and other facilities, standards of the materials used, physical differences between pilates and other branches, breathing exercises, whole body health and unity, pilates movement principles, ideal posture, pilates movement technique.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Defines the basic concepts of the Pilates branch.
  2. Explains the importance of using materials such as Mat- Reformer etc.
  3. Demonstrates the ability to create a program suitable for the individual.
  4. Knows the exercise rules on the Mat and Reformer.
  5. Applies basic techniques for exercises on the Mat and Reformer.

4Theory: Breathing, Natural position of the spine Application: Fundamentals (basic movements) with and without assistance, starting position, control points, purpose, modifications, precautions
5Theoretical: Repetition of the movements practiced Application: Repetition of breathing exercises, continuation of Fundamentals (basic movements)
