Course Objective
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic planning and preparation skills to prepare a folk dance performance.
Course Content
The content of the course includes the definition of folk dances and folklore, classification of folk dance types, video demonstrations of dance examples according to folk dance types, introduction of costumes from different regions, basic steps used in folk dances, teaching and performing of determined regional dances, stage arrangement (choreography) techniques and applications.

Course Learning Outcomes
- The definition of folklore is made.
- Rhythm and perception studies, game and folk dance-figure studies are performed and illustrated.
- In his plays, local differences, figure studies, local figures, bar type local figures are taught.
- Learning halay and spoon type local figures, horon and greeting type local figures, and zeybek type local figures are taught.
- Studies on the attitudes and playing styles of the learned games; They have information about the staging of folk dances, staging types and differences.
