Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to organize sports events held within the scope of local governments.

Course Content

The course content covers the concept of local government, the concept of central government, the relationship between local government and central government, local government in different countries, the historical development of local governments in Turkey, municipalities, village and provincial special administrations, service delivery methods of local governments, the relationship between sports and local government, the spread of sports to the masses, local governments and open spaces, public fields and facilities, sports clubs and local governments, local governments and sporting events.

  1. Defines the concepts of local government and central government.
  2. Distinguish the administrative differences between local government and central government.
  3. Explains the role and importance of local governments in spreading sports to the masses.
  4. Examples of practices related to sports service delivery methods of local governments.
  5. Examines and evaluates the functioning of sports organizations held within the scope of local governments.
  6. It organizes sports activities carried out within the scope of local administrations.
