Course Objective

The Folk Dances I course aims to introduce students to traditional folk dances from various regions of Turkey and teach basic dance figures. It aims to preserve cultural heritage and enhance group coordination.

Course Content

The course includes folk dance figures and rhythms selected from Turkey’s Black Sea, Aegean, Eastern Anatolia, and Central Anatolia regions. The history and cultural significance of the dances are also covered.
