Course Objective
To examine lifelong changes in human development and motor behavior, the processes underlying these changes and the factors that affect them. It discusses the motor development periods, the theories of these periods, and gives the knowledge that can choose the motor development test protocols according to the differences of the individuals.
Course Content
Development definition and terminology, developmental theories, factors affecting development, pervasive developmental disorders, growth, motor development and periods, perceptual motor development, the role of movement in the development of the self-concept, motor development tests, game features and the importance of play in development.

Course Learning Outcomes
- Explain the developmental periods and the theories of this period.
- Discuss the factors affecting development.
- Explain and exemplify the life-long changes in human development.
- Explain other dimensions of development (cognitive, emotional, social).
- Interpret the role of changes in visual, auditory and kinesthetic systems in motor skill development.
- Define the basic concepts of motor development.
- It can evaluate the individual's movement and express whether the movement pattern is in the initial, basic and mature stages.
