Course Objective
The aim of this course is to make a comparative analysis of Islamic economics with other economic systems, to define the scope and importance of Islamic economics and to discuss it as an alternative system.

The logic, functioning, basic order of Islamic economy and its comparison with today's economies
Course Learning Outcomes
- Defines the intellectual infrastructure and institutional foundations of the Islamic economy as a unique system
- Knows how economic development can be matched with a socio-economic system compatible with Islamic ethics and values.
- Evaluates the effect of Islamic belief on economic organizations and behaviors
- Understand the differences between utopian Islamic moral economics, modern Muslim economies, and the practical nature of Islamic finance
- Has the intellectual knowledge to decide which among the leading Muslim economies can serve as a model for Islamic economies
- Discusses the implications of behavioral factors, moral theory, and moral economics in many less developed countries.
