Course Objective
Examining the International Criminal Law system within the framework of current practices in international law, by demonstrating its relevance to domestic law.
Course Content
International Criminal Law is a branch of international law that includes subjects such as ADHOC Criminal Courts (such as TPIY-ICTY), International Criminal Court, semi-international courts, criminal law practices within the UN System, extradition procedures, accused and victim rights.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students taking this course; • Will be able to explain the basic concepts and principles of International Criminal Law.
- Analyzes the current problems of International Criminal Law in the light of theoretical based information.
- Recognizes the structure, quality and functioning of the International Criminal Court.
