Course Objective

The aim of the course is to have basic knowledge about law and how to arrange it in international law

Course Content

Introduction to air law and historical development; development of civil aviation in the world; Civil aviation, definition and classification of its applications, civil aviation system: organizations, conventions, rules, bilateral agreements, air traffic rights, space law The legal regime of the airspace, the problems related to the airspace in the Aegean Sea, the first contracts on public law dimension aviation of air law, Turkish civil aviation system, Paris and Chicago contracts, bilateral agreements (bermuda agreements), aviation related international organizations, European civil aviation conference , Private association of authorities, Eurocontrol, private law dimension of air law: air transport law, liability of air transport and carriage, damages to third persons on the ground, Turkish civil aviation legislation, identity of air vehicle, ownership, nationality, Air transport contract, international agreements and organizations: the Chicago Convention, the International Civil Aviation Organization, the Warsaw Convention and the Carrier's Responsibility, the Hey Convention, the Air Traffic Rights Convention, the Tokio Convention, the European Civil Aviation Conference, Eurocontrol, the European Union of Civil Aviation Authorities , European Union aviation regulations; Turkish civil aviation legislation; Air vehicle: concept and its varieties, the legal nature of the aircraft, its identity, its tampering, its tenacity, its ownership; Operator: operator's liability, operator's liability; Air transport contract; Competition and regulation of co-operation in air transport.
