we will focus on how increasing recognition of plurality within liberal democratic regimes has led to new theories of both culture and community.
Course Content
This module explores the political and epistemological issues of multiculturalism, broadly understood, in contemporary political theory.
Course Learning Outcomes
- To enable students to develop the conceptual skills needed in assessing the arguments for and against pluralism and diversity.
- To develop knowledge and understanding of diversity, pluralism, human rights, and multiculturalism debates in world politics.
