Course Objective
Recognizing Turkey's political system and critical stages, educational policies and power strategies; To understand the Religious Education System in Turkey within the structure of the Turkish National Education System and to understand the current approach, education-training programs and practices, and to evaluate the teaching materials; to make comparative studies of the aforementioned facts and systems with other national systems.
Course Content
Turkish political system and education policies, the relationship between state and education, ideology and education, other national systems; Religious Education in the Turkish Education System, Historical Transformation Phases of the Turkish Education System; Religious Education Policies, approaches and teaching materials in Formal Education Institutions; Religious Education in Pre-School and Higher Education; Education system and religious education in various countries in the world; Searching for new religion and spirituality in the 21st century.

Explanations
EXPLANATION: 1. Each student chooses at least one subject. Each student presents their PPT presentations in class and submits them at the end of the VISA weekend. Topic presentations and negotiations start from the 3rd week following the start of the classes. The preparation of the lecture presentations ends simultaneously and is shared from the WhatsApp group. Deadline: (March 7, 2022) Even if students submit their presentations, they can continue to make partial changes. 2. Each student makes his presentation (in a way to prepare the ground for discussion) in the lesson on the scheduled date. Other students read the preparatory presentation and other materials at least two days before their friends and come ready to discuss. 3. PPT presentations and negotiation performance in the course appear as the VISA grade. Final submission date for PPT presentations: (Monday, April 25, 2022) via Microsoft Teams. 4. The student prepares his/her work in article format (by passing through the plagiarism program), which stands for FINAL. Deadline: (22 June 2022) 5. Students' attendance, active participation, and their performance in the discussion of their other friends' topics are effective in the evaluation of the final grade. 6. Lectures include discussion, group discussion, case study, idea critique/development, etc. done by interactive methods.
