Course Objective

To gain knowledge and idea about the style and contents of the classical texts of Islamic Sciences in general and the hadith in general, to get to know the Islamic literature through these texts and to gain the ability to compare and evaluate with today's scholarly research

Course Content

Original texts from some parts of the works of Bukhari, Muslim and Abu Dawud

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Recognizing the style of classical hadith texts.
  2. Gaining the ability to read and understand classical hadith texts.
  3. Gaining the ability to study classical texts in general and hadith texts in particular through these texts
  4. Questioning the source value of early religious texts in general and hadith texts in particular
