Course Objective

Students will acquire the competence in scientific methods to deal with problems of Kalam including Islamic faith and belief principles.

Course Content

The emergence of Sufism (tasawwuf) and historical process of Sufism, the first sufis, sufi schools and orders, founders of order (tarika), sufi terminology will be teach. The main subjects of the course are contemporary reflections of sufi culture by giving examples from sufi movements and principles.

  2. can discuss Sufi influences on science, literature, music, and art
  3. can outline the historical context and development of Sufism
