Course Objective
Within the scope of this course, first of all, the view of Islam about the world in general and the economy in particular will be presented, and then the development of Islamic economics is aimed to be followed with reference to fiqh, history and economics. After making a brief summary of the history of Islamic economics starting from the time of our Prophet (saas) until the Ottoman state, it is aimed to touch upon the basic features of the Islamic economy.
Course Content
Within the scope of this course, first of all, the view of Islam about the world in general and economy in particular will be presented, and then the development of Islamic economics will be followed with reference to fiqh, history and economics. Related to this, the method of Islamic economics will be tried to be revealed. After making a brief summary of the history of Islamic economics starting from the time of our Prophet (saas) until the Ottoman state, the main features of the Islamic economy will be discussed. In the more practical part of the course, the Islamic economic system will be presented comparatively and the relations between the state and the market will be examined in this context. Fiscal-monetary policies will be examined in relation to production, consumption and distribution, and in particular zakat and interest will be discussed. Finally, the institutions of the Islamic economy will be mentioned.

- To understand the fundamental milestones of Islamic economic history starting from our beloved Prophet (saw) until today.
