Course Objective
A study of economic systems is the most comprehensive way of looking at economic life and relations. This course is expected to provide the student with such a widening of horizon after his/her undergraduate studies.Since this course is basically a comparative one it is also expected to extend this widening of horizons beyond national oundaries and develop it into a global vision. Through a short history of economic systems, this course is also expected to widen the time horizon of the student as well.
Course Content
This course aims to compare the contemporary economic systems, as it is expected to extend this widening of horizons beyond national oundaries and develop it into a global vision. Through a short history of economic systems, the general features and unique characteristics of economic systems will be analyzed and compared with Islamic economic system in order to reveal the similarities and differences between Islamic economic ststem and its contemporary counterparts.
Course Learning Outcomes
- To widen the time horizon of the students through a short history of economic systems.
- To inform the students about the general feautres and specifications of economic systems.
- To learn and understand the contemporary economic systems.
- To understand the Islamic economic systems through emphasizing the similarities and differences between Islamic economic systems and its contemporary counterparts.
