Course Objective


The institutions developed by the Ottomans in the field of economics and finance and the specific features of their activities in this field will be emphasized. In this context, especially the emergence of modernity and the emergence of modern capitalism and the world system, and the Ottoman Empire, the most important representative of the Islamic civilization in the centuries when its influence on the world especially in the economic and financial spheres, was tried to be discovered in the light of these developments. Nutrition levels from Islam's worldview and values ​​system will also be emphasized. The most important aim of this course is the academic effort and search to understand the similarities, differences, and unique aspects of the economic and financial system established and operated by the Ottomans with other contemporary societies and states in the world, taking into account not only the Western world and civilization but also the developments in the eastern civilization and geographies.
