Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide knowledge, skills and applications about the diagnosis, systematic and holistic approach of the patients requiring intensive care, giving nursing care, making close decisions about patient follow up, application and evaluation process and making interdisciplinary coordination.

Course Content

Characteristics of ICU, patient and family characteristics and approach in ICU, legal and ethical issues in ICU, evaluation of ICU patient, follow-up parameters and values of ICU patients, ICU patient transport, ICU commonly used drugs, effects, side effects, doses, intensive care It includes physiological and psychological changes and intensive care infections.
