Course Objective

To provide the knowledge, skills and practices to provide decision-making, systematic and holistic approach to nursing care for patients in need of intensive care, to make decisions about the care of the patients about the close monitoring, application and evaluation process, to apply and to ensure interdisciplinary coordination

Course Content

Characteristics of ICU, ICU patient and family characteristics and approach, legal and ethical issues in ICU, evaluation of ICU patient, follow-up parameters and values of ICU patient, ICU patient transfers, ICU frequently used drugs, effect, side effect, physiological and psychological changes in the patient and intensive care infections.
