Course Objective

The aim of this course is to inform students about ethical considerations and ethical rules in scientific research and publications.

Course Content

Nature of scientific research and the duties and responsibilities of scientists, definition of scientific knowledge, unethical behavior in science, responsibilities of scientific institutions, what to do in scientific research, Scientist, ethics and society, ethics committee, research project, subjects, archiving research data, analysis of research data and the transformation of scientific knowledge into publication, the ranking of authors, methods, citation, evaluation in peer-reviewed journals, undisciplined research, repetitive publication, forgery, diversion, deception, plagiarism, academic promotion, other ethical issues in education.
