Course Learning Outcomes
- To understand the production and operations management function in the organization.
- To understand various production and operations design, management and development decisions; to associate their relationship with the corporate strategy.
- Understand the relationship between demand, production, inventory, capacity, and facility planning and scheduling functions.
- Understand organizational structure, contemporary operations, various managerial approaches, supply chain management activities and strategic planning.
- Understanding quality management and statistical process control, process improvement, technology and project management.
- To understand the concepts of quality, lean, 6 sigma and new approaches in operations management.
- To be able to systematically analyze production management issues, cases and problems.
