Course Objective
The aim of this course is to broaden students' perspectives and increase their interest and awareness of selected current issues/topics in the field of education. This includes defining the aims of education and highlighting the need for new aims in light of changing global conditions; understanding the structure of the education system; identifying problems within the education system and proposing solutions; discussing the problems of pre-school, primary, general and vocational technical secondary, higher education, and adult education; discussing the challenges of the ever-increasing need for education; identifying and proposing solutions to the training and in-service problems of education personnel; and discussing the major problems of higher education.
Course Content
This course can cover many different topics in the field of education. Examples of these titles include: new developments in teaching technology, new formulations of teaching and learning, changing trends in the field of education in the world, the 'learning' features of today, rapid change in the world, ways of global citizen cultivation.
