Course Objective
In this course, students will be trained to develop software by applying engineering methods and analysis of system needs. Different software architects, different application platforms, and labs will work together to create practical work for students.
Course Content
appreciate the wider engineering issues which form the background to developing complex, evolving (software-intensive) systems; plan a software engineering process to account for quality issues and non-functional requirements; employ a selection of concepts and techniques to complete a small-scale study into one of the advanced topic areas; embark on more in-depth research or practice in software engineering.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students will be exposed to a rigorous curriculum that provides a strong base in the fundamentals concepts of software engineering, such as system analysis and software requirements, design process and software implementation and testing techniques.
- Introduction to software architecture and overview; architectural models; software product lines and configurable software; self-adaptive (self-adaptive) software; architectural description languages; feature modeling; architecture and model based testing
