Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach students the fundamentals of micro and macro economics. This course introduces the main concepts, theories and tools of economics, thus enables students to make analysis and comments on both microeconomics and macroeconomics, and to apply them in business life.

Course Content

In this course, first of all, the behavior of micro units, such as individuals, firms and industries will be examined; therefore, supply, demand, market equilibrium, elasticities, consumer and producer choices, and different market structures will be covered in detail. Afterwards, the interactions in the economy will be analyzed as a whole, and so national income, money and banking, monetary and fiscal policy, inflation and unemployment will be discussed.
