Course Objective
The aim of the course; the basic concepts and principles of social security law in the context of social rights, the international and national sources of social security law, the Turkish social security system, social insurance branches, providing a general understanding of social assistance and services, examining the important problems that may arise in practice and discussing their solutions and the recognition of Turkish social security legislation.
Course Content
The concept of social security, social risks, the place of social security in our legal system, social security institutions, features of social insurances, financing and employer obligations, the scope of social insurances and optional insurance, short-term insurance branches in terms of social insurance types, long-term insurance branches, unemployment insurance includes topics such as combining services and utilizing them through borrowing.
Course Learning Outcomes
- By distinguishing the fundamental differences of opinion in his doctrine, he is able to find different interpretations in various conflicts.
- The purpose and content of the Social Security Law becomes clear.
- By learning about the established case-law, he/she has an idea about the problems and solutions in practice.
- Provides solutions to problems related to social security in practice.
- Gains fundamental information about social security systems in comparative law.
