Course Objective
To give an introductory level knowledge of criminology. Helping to understand the general characteristics of criminals. To inform the students about the causes of delinquency and to show the methods of fighting against crime, to enlighten about the conditions in Turkey.
Course Content
Theories on the development and causes of crime and delinquency.
Course Learning Outcomes
- To explain the relationship between criminology, criminal law and other branches of law.
- To have knowledge about the sociology of crime and to create a sensitivity awareness about the provision of justice.
- To have an idea about victimization of crime.
- To introduce crime prevention and methods closely.
