Course Objective
This elective course aims to examine political parties and elections. In the parties part, the birth and development of political parties, their functions, organizational structures, party systems and financing problems are the topics to be covered. In Turkey, political parties and the subject will be considered briefly in the context of Turkish Political Life I and II. The importance of the elections for the democracy of elections, electoral systems in Turkey and elections will be discussed. The main aim of the course is to discuss the political parties and elections issues in detail to the senior students and to emphasize the importance of election-democracy relation and intra-party democracy. During this process, embodying the subjects with examples from the world and our country as much as possible is also among the targets.
