Course Objective

The aim of this course is to analyze the basic notions of law, the Introductory Provisions of the Turkish Civil Code and basic terms of Law of Persons, as well as to equip students with the necessary information for such analysis.

Course Content

The course covers the fundamental notions of law, the Introductory Provisions of the Turkish Civil Code, and all the subjects ranging from the beginning to the ending of personality.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Students identify the fundamental notions of Civil Law and Law of Obligations.
  2. Students explains the characteristics of associations and foundations.
  3. Students acquire a general knowledge of Civil Law.
  4. Students identify and categorize rights.
  5. Students explain the causality relationship among the acquisition, loss and protection of rights.
