Course Objective

To introduce the basic concepts of hadith method and to teach a methodology in evaluating hadiths

The main sources and issues of hadith methodology will be examined

Explanations

The exams of this course are held twice as multiple-choice exams, midterm and final. The participation %10, midterm exam is 40% and the final is 50% effective.

Rules

The student is required to attend the course at 70%.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Analyze the concepts of prophet, hadith, sunnah and revelation
  2. Recognizes the main sources of hadith method
  3. Recognizes the layers of hadith reporters and evaluates them in terms of cerh and reform
  4. Can evaluate hadiths in terms of authenticity and weakness
  5. Gains knowledge of fabricated hadiths and their sources
